We get really, REALLY excited by vintage pieces like this beauty. An understated yet utterly stunning vintage 1940s black silk jersey evening gown, this piece is super Avant Garde. So elegant, it's a wonderful example of 1940s American vintage design, from Californian label Viola S. Dimmitt. Clever ruching at the front offers impeccable shape and structure to the piece, while its weighty kick flared skirt screams glamour. We love the integral wing feature on the back of the shoulders - just amazing.

Please note: this piece has had a wonderful life thus far! It has been repaired along the way, and does have a couple of holes within the ruching at the front. Hard to notice and its matching waist belt can cover these in lieu of repair. Hence price.
